°~ Welcome ~°

Past: (How it all began)

Over 20 years of intensive art experience, driven by great passion, have shaped my work. I honed my skills through school, university, and self-taught learning. It wasn't until I turned 30 that I came out as an artist. Initially, I created art on paper, then on regular cardboard, and eventually, predominantly on canvas frames. Right from the beginning of this intense artistic period, I noticed something unusual in my paintings. On a painted piece of cardboard, I created an artwork that seemed to move. That was the start of my artistic career. My original artistic style was born (a mixed-media technique applied directly to the canvas). Over time, I have continued to explore new techniques. Hundreds of unique artworks have been created, many of which have been exhibited in numerous art shows both domestically and abroad. I have also received collaboration requests from New York, Miami, and Italy. All my unique pieces are one-of-a-kind and protected under copyright (c).

Present: (Where I am now)

Art is pure passion for me. It has been my life's path since childhood. For me, there’s nothing more fulfilling in my existence than standing before a blank canvas and bringing it to life with color. My ideas flow endlessly, like a perpetual spring. I simply need to put the brush, loaded with the right color, onto the surface, and new works emerge.

As my signature—featuring a sine wave and a dot representing my head—came into being only halfway through my intensive art journey, many of my earlier works displayed on my website still bear my name and the date of creation instead. To address the visual discord between text and image, I decided in 2012 to exclusively use this symbol as my signature. Older artworks that don’t feature this unique hallmark are gradually being updated.

Future: (My goal, my vision)

Creating art is my daily mission. Many hundreds of works will still emerge, either in my original style or in a style derived from it. In the near future, I envision my pieces being showcased in renowned museums, exceptional galleries, and in the collections of passionate art enthusiasts nationally and internationally. My name, "Stefan Roos," known by my artist name "strooskunst" in German and "stroosart" in English, aims to achieve global recognition. My website, "st-roos-kunst.ch," serves as the hub and foundation for my work.

My values: (Quality over quantity)

It is incredibly important to me to produce my artworks with the highest quality. Only when I feel confident enough to hang them in my own space do I exhibit them. Whether abstract works with acrylic and brushes, action paintings, airbrush pieces, oil paintings or watercolors, everything must feel harmonious and just right.

With artistic regards,

Your artist Stefan Roos, strooskunst, stroosart
